He was an ambassador of Vulcan who fathered Spock. He had Spock with his wife Amanda Grayson from Earth. His accomplishments included the Coridon debates, which gave birth to the alliance with the Klingons.

Pyllora
This is used by Vulcans within mind-melds that are of familiar relations. It acts as a guide or counselor within mild meld. When experienced by Vulcans it assist the subject from repressing the memory.
In 2373, Tuvok asked Janeway to act as his Pyllora, since they were far from home. The task was to was to get to the bottom of a memory where a young girl was falling from a precipice. The mind-meld took him to his first posting on the USS - Excelsior and the battle with Kang near Qo'Nos.
